The three shipments, valued at nearly $2 million, will be distributed by Hope International to area hospitals and clinics in northern Haiti.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MEDIA ARE INVITED - &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;dir&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What: Local volunteers loading a shipment of medical supplies headed for Haiti. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;When: 9:45 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010 &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Who: President Bas Vanderzalm and program staff will be available for questions &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Where: Medical Teams International - 14150 SW Milton Court, Tigard, OR 97224&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;/dir&gt; &lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;The specific shipment that will be loaded on Friday is valued at $674,150 and includes gloves, gauze, sutures, needles syringes and crutches. The shipment will travel by train to Florida and then will be put into sea-going containers to be off-loaded in northern Haiti where local hospitals are treating many injured and homeless Haitians who have fled from the earthquake zone in Port-au-Prince.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Medical Teams International currently has 27 volunteers in Haiti. Hedinger’s plane has transported aid workers and medical supplies into Port-au-Prince almost daily for the past week.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in 12pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;"&gt;            A representative from Medical Teams International will also be at the scene for questioning. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Medical Teams International’s Work:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Yesterday, Medical Teams International airlifted medicines and medical supplies valued at $1.2 million.
