Purpose [ Back to top ]

Water for Life, Inc ("WFL") is a non-profit organization that ministers in the country of Haiti. The organization endeavors to demonstrate the love of God to the people of Haiti by drilling and maintaining water wells, by building irrigation systems, by supporting the Passe Bois D'Ormes Church and School, and by carrying out other special projects.

The need for WFL is evidenced by the fact that Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. It is estimated that 700 villages, with a population of over 285,000 Haitians who live in the Artibonite valley, are without a clean water source. Women and girls walk many miles to reach a dirty stream or contaminated water source, fill their pails, and then carry these heavy pails home on their heads sometimes walking up a steep mountainside to get there.

Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]

Water for Life, Inc. uses the following to express its Statement of Faith:

We believe that the Bible is the verbal, plenary Word of God, fully inspired and without error. We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that all men are sinners by nature, and that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior shall be saved. By the grace of God we put our trust in Him.

History [ Back to top ]

Water for Life was founded in 1983 by Willis Miller. Mr. Miller had been drilling wells in Haiti since 1972 when he first felt called to provide clean, safe water for the Haitian people.
