Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]
Radio Bible Hour, Inc. uses the following to communicate its values:
Doctrinally,
We believe in the Trinity, God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, without error, and is the only rule of faith and practice for the Christian.
We believe in Jesus Christ, born of the Virgin Mary, as our Lord and Savior, whose death on the Cross provided for the redemption of sinners and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for all those who come to God by Him.
We believe in the local Church as the body of Christ and the bride of Christ.
We believe in the Second Coming of Christ and we are looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Since it's beginning in 1935, the Radio Bible Hour, Inc., under the direction of it's founder Dr. J. Harold Smith, has spread the message of the Christian Gospel around the country. In July, 1996, Dr. Smith began a new television ministry which is now seen each week on a number of stations in the Southeast. On June 14, 1997, Dr. Smith celebrated his 87th birthday. For almost 65 years he had been preaching daily; a total of more than 70,000 sermons. Until a series of small strokes temporarily slowed him down, he was maintaining a full schedule of evangelistic meetings around the country, as well as his radio and television ministries.

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch.com with an official statement or response for their profile. This area is meant as a mechanism for the profiled ministry to communicate anything they may choose. It is open ended as to the topic, issues, facts or news to address. It is not negative if there is no official statement as many don’t have anything to add than what is already on the profile. This section is not tied to transparency or to communication in general. Many very open and talkative ministries with us choose not to post an official statement. This section is just an open ended offering to the profiled ministry for anything extra to say as they may choose.
