These include prisoners, the homeless, crisis pregnancy centers, orphans, business people and many more. Scriptures are distributed through a number of means including grants, ministry-priced sales, the Internet and local ministry outreaches. In addition, Biblica produces specialized Scripture booklets for various evangelistic efforts including Olympic and sports outreaches, conferences and crusades. Biblica was founded in 1809.

Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]
Biblica's Statement of Faith is:
In the verbal inspiration of all Scripture--as originally given--of both the Old and New Testaments and that they are the final authority of faith and life.
In one God, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
In the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through the shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal imminent return in power and glory.
In the total depravity of all people and in the necessity of salvation through regeneration.
That salvation is a free gift of God entirely apart from works and is possessed by all those who have, by faith, received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
In the present ministry of the person of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, and to overcome the attacks of the evil one, Satan.
In the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
1809 - 1832
Evangelical Roots and Missionary Expansion. Founded in 1809 in New York, Biblica from its very infancy fostered a vision for transforming the world with the Word. In 1810, Biblica granted missionary translator William Carey $1,000 to help translate the Bible into the Bengali language. This Bible is still being used in India today.
1832 - 1906
Biblica was there in hospitals when cholera swept New York City in 1832. When war ripped the nation apart, Biblica provided Scriptures to the soldiers. Providing Scriptures for Sunday schools, prison ministry and hotels became part of our ministry.
1907 - 1960
From the late 1890s to 1954, Biblica carried out an extensive ministry to immigrants as they arrived at New York's Ellis Island. An average of 40,000 New Testaments and far more Scripture portions were distributed annually in many languages.
1960s through the '80s
Years of hard work and sacrifice were realized with the publication of the Holy Bible: New International Version (NIV). During these years Biblica became a leading publisher of ethnic Scriptures, publishing God's Word in more than 350 languages since 1970.
The Nineties
From 1990 to 1994, Biblica took a leading role in Scripture distribution in Eastern Europe, providing 10 million New Testaments for Russia and the republics of the former Soviet Union, as well as 1.5 million for Romania. A worldwide spiritual hunger is drawing many to know Christ and grow through His Word
