Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]

The Heaven and Home Hour's Statement of Faith is:

The Bible, consisting of all the books of the Old & New Testaments, is the Word of God, a supernaturally given revelation from God Himself. The Scriptures in their entirety are without error or misstatement in their moral and spiritual teaching and record of historical facts. They are without error or defect of any kind. (This reference to the inerrancy of the Scriptures is viewed as a reference to the very words of the original manuscripts.)

There is one God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ was supernaturally conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. Before His incarnation He existed in the form of God. He both was God, and is God, and ever shall Be. Through the incarnation He became truly man, while being truly God.

By His death on the cross Christ made perfect atonement for sin. He was crucified, buried, and rose on the third day according to the Scriptures. His resurrection was bodily. He ascended to Heaven where today He intercedes on behalf of believers.

This same Christ will one day bodily return for His Church (believers) and take them to be with Him for ever. We believe this will be both pretribulational and premillennial.

We believe people are saved through the preaching of the Gospel by God's grace. Those who do not receive Christ as personal Saviour in this life will spend eternity in Hell.

People are justified on the basis of the shed blood of Christ, and are born again by the quickening, renewing, cleansing work of the Holy Spirit, through the instrumentality of the Word of God. (Though there may be many fillings by the Holy Spirit, there is only one baptism which occurs at the time of regeneration.)

History [ Back to top ]

Upon the death of Dr. Erickson, his son-in-law Dr. Russel Killman was called to head up the growing ministry. For the next 23 years he led the program through its greatest growth until his retirement in 1986. Dr. Killman passed away in July of 1999.

Ministry Statement or Response [ Back to top ]

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch.com with an official statement or response for their profile. This area is meant as a mechanism for the profiled ministry to communicate anything they may choose. It is open ended as to the topic, issues, facts or news to address. It is not negative if there is no official statement as many don’t have anything to add than what is already on the profile. This section is not tied to transparency or to communication in general. Many very open and talkative ministries with us choose not to post an official statement. This section is just an open ended offering to the profiled ministry for anything extra to say as they may choose.
