Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]

Globe Missionary Evangelism's Doctrinal Statement of Faith is:

Globe Missionary Evangelism's doctrine encompasses the whole Word of God. We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments; that God is revealed in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost, undone, without hope, and without God; that Jesus is God come in the flesh and that He is both divine and human. We believe in the saving power of the Blood of Jesus and His imputed righteousness, in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and in the bodily return of Jesus to this earth to rapture his Church and judge the world. We believe the Holy Spirit to be the Third Person of the Trinity whose purpose in the redemption of man is to convict men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer, guide the believer into all truth, indwell and give gifts to believers as He wills, that they may minister as Christ would to men. We believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit recorded in I Corinthians 12:8-11 shall operate in present-day churches which yield to the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in Divine Healing and the Priesthood of Believers.

History [ Back to top ]

Globe Missionary Evangelism was founded in 1973 by the Rev. Ken Sumrall. J. Robert Bishop has served as the General Director since 1976. In early 1994 GME received, through a donation from Liberty Church in Pensacola, Florida, an 11,000 square foot former college classroom building. After renovations, the new Globe Missionary Evangelism headquarters was officially opened in October, 1994. With plenty of office space, a meeting room and conference area, multi-media room, and other facilities, GME’s new home provides an excellent base for present operations and future expansion of our missions vision for the decade of the 90’s.

Ministry Statement or Response [ Back to top ]

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch.com with an official statement or response for their profile. This area is meant as a mechanism for the profiled ministry to communicate anything they may choose. It is open ended as to the topic, issues, facts or news to address. It is not negative if there is no official statement as many don’t have anything to add than what is already on the profile. This section is not tied to transparency or to communication in general. Many very open and talkative ministries with us choose not to post an official statement. This section is just an open ended offering to the profiled ministry for anything extra to say as they may choose.
