Global Harvest Ministries ("GHM") is committed to being a source and catalyst of intercessory prayer for worldwide harvest. GHM initiated the United Prayer Track of AD2000 and other related missions activities. GHM was formed to unite existing national and international prayer networks to focus prayer power on world evangelization and especially lost people of the 10/40 Window (term for a geographic region that contains a large concentration of lost people, includes North Africa, India, and the Peoples Republic of China, etc.). GHM firmly believes that God is preparing the church for a massive spiritual harvest and that He is calling it to unite, setting aside differences and fears.
GHM works with Christian leaders all over the world to cultivate a prayer force that is equipped, trained, and focused for the spiritual battles that can free millions of people, and allow them to hear and receive the Gospel. GHM encourages aggressive church planting within unreached and unevangelized groups of people. GHM envisions a massive, mission-minded church movement committed to reproducing itself through evangelistic daughter churches all around the world. This worldwide harvest will require extensive planning and resources for one of the most fruitful periods of church planting in history.
GHM is also training Christian leadership for Spiritual Warfare and Ministry. The ministry provides conferences on prayer and spiritual warfare, revival, deliverance ministry, and church growth. GHM has organized an International Spiritual Warfare Network with area coordinators throughout the world. In addition, they initiated the Wagner Institute for Practical Ministry, which offers training through seminars, courses, and other resources.
This organization is a nonprofit. Contributions to it are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. It is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
Global Harvest Ministries describes its mission as follows:

The purpose of GHM is:
1.To catalyze and strengthen global forces for evangelism;
2.To serve the New Apostolic Reformation by engaging in whatever apostolic ministries may be necessary to stimulate, train, encourage, network, and resource its leaders;
3.To mobilize prayer for world evangelism;
4.To train Christian leaders in prayer, spiritual warfare, and other aspects of practical ministry;
5.To support, encourage, and facilitate the spread and growth of the Christian faith throughout the world; and
6.To support other organizations, projects, and initiatives that are organized and operated for similar purposes when deemed appropriate.

Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]
Global Harvest Ministries("GHM") uses the following to expres its Statement of Faith:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God,
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ
Global Harvest Ministries ("GHM") was incorporated December 31, 1991 by Peter Wagner, then the Coordinator for the AD2000 United Prayer Track. Beginning with a staff of three including both Peter and Doris Wagner, work began over a dining room table using a couple of typewriters to organize the foundation of the prayer network for the AD2000 United Prayer Track. On March of 1992, Global Harvest moved to an office facility near Fuller Theological Seminary and in April mailed the first Prayer Track News, the official newsletter for the United Prayer Track.
GHM dubbed October 1993 the international month of prayer for the 10/40 Window. The event was called Praying through the Window, and Global Harvest partnered with a number of ministries to make it a reality. Over 20 million intercessors prayed for the lost and 256 prayer journey teams traveled to countries within the 10/40 Window to pray on-site, coordinated by the Christian Information Network.
In 1993, Ted Haggard, pastor of New Life Church of Colorado Springs, CO, expressed his vision for a World Prayer Center to coordinate the network of prayer ministries around the globe. Also, the Arsenal was formed to serve as a resource for books and tapes on prayer and spiritual warfare.
February of 1994 witnessed the first National Conference on Prayer and Spiritual Warfare hosted by Global Harvest Ministries. Such notable speakers as Peter Wagner, Dick Eastman, Francis Frangipane, Ed Silvoso, Tom White, Cindy Jacobs, Bob Beckett, George Otis Jr., and Dutch Sheets taught hundreds of prayer warriors. On June 25, 1994 another international event was planned as Global Harvest Ministries and March for Jesus coordinated A Day to Change the World. Over 100 nations in every time zone of the world were involved in praise marches, prayer walks, and concerts of prayer.
GHM sponsored Praying through the Window II in October 1995. Over 36 million intercessors prayed for the 100 Gateway cities while 607 prayer journey teams visited virtually all 100 cities within the 10/40 Window to pray on-site. On December 3, 1995 in front of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO, Ted Haggard’s vision became reality when Global Harvest Ministries, The Christian Information Network and The Sentinel Group joined together to comprise the World Prayer Center. Since that time construction has continued, and work has begun to link 120 National Prayer Networks with the World Prayer Center by the year 2000.
In June 1996, two International Conferences on Prayer and Spiritual Warfare were held in Los Angeles and Charlotte, and in July, Global Harvest Ministries’ offices moved from Pasadena, CA to Colorado Springs, CO and will eventually be located within the World Prayer Center building.
In 1997, three International Conferences on Prayer and Spiritual Warfare were held in Los Angeles, Virginia Beach, and St. Louis, while Global Harvest prepared for October 1997’s Praying Through the Window III: The Unreached Peoples.
Global Harvest Ministries has communicated the following needs:
One of the urgent needs they have as a consequence of the urgent assignments that God keeps giving them is more office and classroom space.They cannot advance much in their present facilities.They are asking God for a large WLI/GHM campus that will allow they to move ahead with the freedom that they feel they need. They have located a 56-acre parcel of prime real estate, and they have made a down payment on it. However, they had a need of $8 million dollars by October 15, and after that they will need massive funding to build offices, classrooms, and a conference center. When God provides all of that, the picture will be much bigger!

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch.com with an official statement or response for their profile. This area is meant as a mechanism for the profiled ministry to communicate anything they may choose. It is open ended as to the topic, issues, facts or news to address. It is not negative if there is no official statement as many don’t have anything to add than what is already on the profile. This section is not tied to transparency or to communication in general. Many very open and talkative ministries with us choose not to post an official statement. This section is just an open ended offering to the profiled ministry for anything extra to say as they may choose.
