Working under the authority of partner churches, Emmanuel International is committed to meeting the needs of the whole person: spiritual, physical, social and emotional; regardless of their race, gender, color or religion. The staff take God's love into rural towns, villages and homes. Their projects meet basic needs and use simple technology, easy to replicate and maintain; and build self-reliance and dignity of those involved.

Emmanuel's ministries are:

  • People Centered - Emmanuel's staff takes God's love into towns, villages and homes.
  • Impartial - Emmanuel meets the needs of people regardless of their race, gender, colour or religion.

Emmanuel International Mission, along with six other nonprofit organizations founded Millennium Water Alliance (MWA). It is dedicated to providing clean water and basic sanitation worldwide. MWA operates as an umbrella organization providing institutional synergy to ensure technical excellence, programmatic innovation, and long-term financial, social and environmental sustainablility in water resources management to its members. In addition, MWA provides cost effective synergies for advocacy of clean water and basic sanitation. The relationship with MWA will provide cost savings to both EIM and USAID through efficiencies of coordinated programs and grant proposals, and grant administration.

Programs and activities coordinated by Emmanuel International Mission's staff operating in the Philippines and Indonesia for the fiscal year included spiritual, relief, health, agricultural, water, and literacy projects. In addition, Emmanuel International Mission provides some funding to Emmanuel International and its worldwide affiliates for similar programs and activities.

        Emmanuel International Mission uses the following to express its Statement of Faith:

        We believe: in God's triune nature: the unity of the Godhead of three equal persons. Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; II Cor 13:14
      • The Father: a spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in attributes. John 4:24; Ex 34:6
      • The Son, Jesus Christ: His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and His imminent return for His bride, the Church. John 1:1; Isaiah 7:14; Heb 7:26; I Cor 15:3-4; Acts 1:11
      • The Holy Spirit: His indwelling presence in the believer; His baptism of all who believe into the body of Christ; identifying us with death, burial and resurrection to new life of Christ; and sealing the believer for eternity. John 14:17; Rom 6:3-5; I Cor 12:13; II Cor 1:21-22

        We believe: in the Bible as inspired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant in the original writings and our guide and final authority in faith and life. II Tim 3:15-16; II Peter 1:21; John 17:17; Matt 4:4

        We believe: in humanity's separation from Christ by sin; humanity's total fallen nature requiring Christ's atoning sacrifice for reunion with God through salvation; humanity's creation in the image of God resulting in the immeasurable intrinsic value of each human from conception to death. Psa 139:13-16; Eph 2:1-3, 12-13

        We believe: in salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ as the sole means of attaining eternal life. John 3:16; Rom 6:23; Eph 2: 8-9

        We believe: that Satan (who is called the Devil) is the personal enemy of the souls of people. Rev 20:2

        We believe: in the everlasting reward of the saved in heaven and the everlasting punishment of the lost in hell. Matt 25:26; Phil 3:19-21

        We believe: in the Church as the bride of Christ, in both its universal aspect, the whole body of those born again in the Spirit, and its local expression, the assembly established for worship and witness. Eph 1:22-23, 5:25-32; Acts 15:41, 16:5

      Emmanuel Relief &amp; Rehabilitation International (Emmanuel International for short) is an international, inter-denominational, evangelical agency which assists communities worldwide through the agency of their local churches to meet the needs of the poor. Founded in 1975 by Rev. George Middleton in Stouffville, Ontario, EI has a proven record of commitment, care and compassion in meeting these needs.  Emmanuell International Missioin, the US Affiliate of Emmanuel International was incorporated under the laws of Michigan in January 1978.  Emmanuel International is trans-forming thousands of lives through National Affiliate Organizations (Canada, USA, Brazil, United Kingdom, Malawi, the Philippines, and Australia), implementing relief, rehabilitation, sustainable development and Christian ministry programs in eight countries:   Haiti, Brazil, Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, South Africa and the Philippines.

       

      EI relief projects include such things as providing food and shelter to victims of disasters in project countries.  Rehabilitation projects include helping replant crops or rebuild homes as communities recover from shocks such as drought or flood.  Sustainable Development is a broad field but includes such things as HIV/AIDS education programs and primary &amp; secondary school education programs. It also includes using appropriate technologies to increase food security and overall quality of life through such projects as increasing access to clean water though wells and other water systems, or teaching about irrigation and agriculture practices.

       

      Christian ministries activities provide the foundation for all that Emmanuel International does. We always work through local churches to transform their communities, seeking to meet both physical and spiritual needs. The projects include sending students to Bible College, providing training for pastors and mobilizing churches to meet the spiritual needs of their own congregations and communities.
