Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]

The statement of faith of the corporation shall be used as a guide for its policy. It is expected that all of the directors and officers will subscribe to this statement, either orally or in writing.

    • We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative source of Christian doctrine and precept.

    • We believe that there is one God, eternally existence in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

    • We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin is lost and powerless to save himself.

    • We believe that the only hope for man is to believe in Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, Who died to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind, and Who rose from the dead so that by receiving Him as Savior and Lord, man is redeemed by His blood.

    • We believe that Jesus Christ in person will return to earth in power and glory.

    • We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who have received Christ for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and godly lives.

    • We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all those who, through belief in Christ, have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the Church is the nurture of Christians and the evangelization of the world.

History [ Back to top ]

Dayspring International began in 1979 when founder John Gilman returned from India with the inspiration to help win the nation it to Christ using an all-Indian film about the life of Christ film. Directed and produced in India, the film circumvents some of the cultural barriers to the Gospel. Every night, dozens of mobile film teams, comprised of Indian nationals, show the film to thousands of Indian people throughout India. The late Dr. Mark Buntain, long time missionary to India and considered to be one of the great missionaries of our time said "...this film can do more to reach India's millions for Christ than all other past efforts combined." In addition to Dayspring sponsored teams, Dayspring partners with national missions organizations to share the Gospel utilizing this powerful tool.
