Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]
Creation Moments expresses its faith as follows:
Creation Moments, Inc., believes in the inerrancy of the Holy Bible in its original writings and stands dedicated to the concept of a special creation; to a young earth; to the global nature of the Genesis flood; and the clear confession of Jesus Christ, the Savior, as true God and true man, equal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.
DOCTRINAL STATEMENT:
- God has spoken in Scripture and has acted in creation and human history. We believe that the autographs of the 66 canonical books of the Bible are objectively inspired, infallible and the inerrant Word of God in all of their parts and in all matters of which they speak (history, theology, science, etc.)
- The message of the Bible is communicated in the most basic meaning of the test as understood in its historical and grammatical context.
- God has acted to create the cosmos ex nihilo in six 24-hour period in the recent past.
- A divine design and purpose exists in nature and this purpose is to point to and glorify the Creator.
- A universal Noachian flood occurred, which destroyed all life on earth except those saved in the Ark (Noah, his family, and the animals)
- While man was created sinless, he volitionally sinned. In that Adam, the first man, was acting as the federal head of the human race, everyone since Adam has been born sinful and in need of a Savior.
- Jesus Christ was fully man and fully God. His substitutionary atonement in His death provides the only means of salvation to a sinful race.
- Scientific research, like every other human activity should not only seek to "think God's thoughts after Him," but serve to glorify the creating Word of God by being applied to life and society in such a manner that these are conformed to God's design for them.

MinistryWatch.com’s Take
Creation Moments, Inc. (CMI) teaches creation as recorded in Genesis, delving into such subjects as the flood, dinosaurs, Adam: man of clay, carbon-fourteen dating, the age of the earth and living fossils. It is a bible-based ministry devoted to exposing the fallacies of the theory of Evolution. Under the leadership of President Ian T. Taylor, the research of many scientists is combined with the Biblical truth of Creation. It serves not only to inform the public, but to glorify God. In this age of Political Correctness and humanistic thinking, it is comforting to know that there is an organization out there that exists to prove that God’s Word is true. There is not a chasm between true science and the teachings of the Bible. They were meant to compliment one another. CMI has a daily 2-minute radio program, a monthly newsletter, a very useful and informative website and many educational tools such as books and videos. For those interested in breaking through their communities with the truth of Creation Science, seminars are also available.
CMI’s founder, Pastor Walter Lang began this ministry out of love for his young parishioners. These young people were experiencing the shaking of their Christian foundation after completing a year or two in college. Upon investigation, Pastor Lang learned the reason for their dilemma the theory of evolution was undermining the tenets of biblical truths. Indeed, if one bought into the idea of evolution, one had to question the existence of the Creator and the need for a Savior.
Also, after investigation, the pastor was unable to locate any publication devoted to promoting creationism. So, in 1963, Pastor Lang began the Bible-Science Foundation, now called Creation Moments, Inc. From its inception, the ministry has served to communicate the truth of creation through the written word.
In 1986 the two-minute international radio broadcast, Creation Moments, was born. Creation Moments is one of the top 5 US syndicated radio programs of 5 minutes or less. Creation Moments is carried on 5 major networks, Bible Broadcast, Moody, Skylight, Family Radio and Bott Radio.
CMI’s president today is Ian T. Taylor. He is the voice of the popular radio program, Creation Moments, now heard daily on over 1300 stations in the US and others overseas. Mr. Taylor began his work in ministry when he lost his position as metallurgist. He joined the technical staff of a daily television program and then became the producer of “Crossroads” which included a 13-part TV series exposing the fallacies of the theory of evolution. Mr. Taylor wrote the book In the Minds of Men: Darwin and the New World Order and answered the call to a full-time research and lecture ministry, to bring the truth of creation to any who would listen. The book is now in its fourth edition.
He joined the Bible-Science Foundation in 1995 and has been the voice of Creation Moments ever since.
Until his death in February 2002, Jim Mosher had served as board chairman for CMI. Mr. Mosher’s contributions to the ministry were numerous. During his tenure as chairman, CMI saw its radiobroadcast become the most widely syndicated program about creationism in the world. He also was instrumental in further developing Creation Moments to reach Spanish-speaking countries, the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Through his leadership, CMI became a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
Always a heart for the unsaved, Mr. Mosher took the words of Christ Jesus to heart, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through and steal" (Matthew 6:19-20).
CMI’s purpose is contained in its description of itself, “Creation Moments is a nonprofit,
interdenominational Christian outreach. We serve individuals, students, churches, home schoolers and professionals by offering products that uphold the truth of God in creation. CMI exists to glorify God by presenting scientific evidences for the literal truth of the Bible”.
Besides the radio program, CMI offers video tapes, educational books designed to teach children and adults, a monthly newsletter, a resourceful website and seminar training.
The following is a written sample of Creation Moments, Inc. radiobroadcast:
“A Solid Foundation in Creation
John 1:3 - “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
What does the Bible's teaching on creation have to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ? Well, let’s see what happens to Christ's work of salvation if creation is untrue and God actually used evolution. Death in the animal kingdom must have come into the world long before the first man and before sin. If death is not a result of sin, why did Christ have to receive the penalty for sin by death on a cross? So, in challenging man's origin, evolution challenges the origin of sin and its effect on man. Thus, evolution challenges the very heart of Christ’s work! The Bible tells us that all Scripture was given to make us wise unto salvation. That includes Genesis. John's Gospel tells us that all things were created through the Word Who became flesh.
We see that Word in action in Genesis One when we read, “That Word Who made us and everything is the very same Word Who came and purchased our salvation.”
So Genesis, right from the very first words, is actually the beginning of God's revelation to us of the Person and work of the Son of God - our Savior, Jesus Christ. If we reject God's revelation about His Son in Genesis One, we have only part of a Savior - and only part of Christ is no Christ at all!
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, many in our world today attack you by denying Your work of creation, hoping to deny Your wonderful saving work for sinful mankind. This even happens in the church. Give your people eyes to see the truth and not be led into error and left with a powerless word of man in place of the gospel. Amen.”
The truths so eloquently expressed above are the heart and soul of CMI. Their belief statement confounds evolutionists. They believe in:
- A literal interpretation of creation as presented in the Bible
- A divine design and purpose in nature
- A global flood (as described in Genesis)
- A special creation (uniqueness)
- Christ-centered scientific research
- A young Earth
- Christ as a man's only hope for eternal redemption. Christ is both Savior and Lord; was born of a virgin; was both God and man, died for our sins and rose again.
