CitiHope International seeks to obtain the maximum strategic medical resources, at the minimum cost, in the shortest period of time, to give health and hope to the greatest number of people possible.
CitiHope has expanded it’s vision to bring aid globally. In the thirteen years spanning 1990 - 2003, CitiHope has served
countries with a total of $325 million worth of medicine, medical supplies, nutritional and developmental humanitarian aid.
Through the US State Department, Humanitarian Assistance to the NIS Program, Operation Provide Hope, CitiHope has continuous access to air cargo support, both an entire aircraft dedicated to a large scale airlift, or individual commercial cargo "mini" shipments, on an "as needed" basis. When a rapid turn around is required to a pharmaceutical donation offer, CitiHope can respond quickly, usually within 48 hours.
CitiHope has focused its medical relief efforts over the past decade, exclusively in the NIS. Our extensive network of healthcare providers in eight Republics gives us an infinite choice of placement options.
Prior to each medical shipment, an advance needs assessment is carried out by trained professional medical staff. Each hospital and/or clinic targeted for medical relief is visited prior to delivery of any pharmaceuticals. Any medicines consigned to an institution are committed to a specific head doctor in a particular department, with the professional knowledge of the medicine's efficacy and use.
CitiHope has established offices of Medical Relief Coordination in all eight NIS Republics served, with full time monitoring and supervisory staff physicians in charge of the distribution and follow-up of pharmaceuticals dedicated to each humanitarian relief mission.
While CitiHope respects the World Health Organization's concerns with the responsible administration of humanitarian medical relief, CitiHope believes that the critical nature of the need for contemporary Western medicines, in the countries it serves, warrants the placement of pharmaceuticals with dating shorter than the mandated WHO one-year minimum.
CitiHope President Rev. Paul S. Moore and/or his son, CitiHope Vice-President Paul Moore II personally accompany every CitiHope International humanitarian relief mission. Seasoned professionals with a passion for their work, they have made more than 100 mission trips to NIS countries to deliver medical relief in the past ten years.
CitiHope International uses the following to express its mission:
As quoted from John Wesley, the 18th century Methodist Reformer's compassionate ministry motto: Raise all you can, Save all you can and Give all you can.

CitiHope International was founded in 1985 by the Reverend Paul and Sharon Moore for the purpose of providing Christian humanitarian relief to needy people groups in the United States and the New Independent States in the former Soviet Union. With its corporate headquarters in Andes, New York, CitiHope International is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit Private Volunteer Organization (PVO) which operates on principles of compassion, generosity, stewardship, accountability and integrity, as taught by the Scriptures.
CitiHope International has followed a humanitarian relief strategy focusing resources on a few major world areas to make a significant difference in the lives of needy people. CitiHope accesses a variety of donated medicines, medical supplies, food products, and other relief items, which in turn are dedicated to meeting the greatest human needs; in particular, for Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, five other NIS republics, Romania, Macedonia and most recently, the Dominican Republic, Cameroon, Peru and India.
Since October 1990, CitiHope has procured, shipped and delivered $240 million in medicine, medical supplies, nutritional and developmental resources to the NIS. Since 1994, CitiHope has partnered with the US State Department, Humanitarian Assistance to the NIS, to airlift strategic medical resources to seven Republics. In cooperation with USDA, CitiHope has delivered $60 million in food aid to the Republics of Belarus and Ukraine. Together, this represents an organizational milestone of $300 million in humanitarian relief to date, dedicated to the people of the former USSR,
over the past nine years.
Since 1999 CitiHope has expanded it’s vision to bring aid globally. In Peru, aid was delivered to villagers in the Andes Mountains. Cameroon and the Dominican Republic have received strategic shipments. Now CitiHope is focusing on India earthquake disaster relief.
Opportunities for volunteers to participate in mission projects occur each year. More than 250 Americans representing medical, business, educational, governmental and Christian ministry sectors have traveled to the NIS on team outreaches. Their contributions have made a significant impact through friendship diplomacy; nation building.
CitiHope International has communicated the following needs:
Opportunities for volunteers to participate in mission projects occur each year. While no volunteer mission is "typical", CitiHope volunteer missions usually take place within a two week period, with total costs ranging from $1,500 to $3,000. Due to the social, economic and political conditions of the countries we serve, a certain level of flexibility is encouraged, and even required.

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch.com with an official statement or response for their profile. This area is meant as a mechanism for the profiled ministry to communicate anything they may choose. It is open ended as to the topic, issues, facts or news to address. It is not negative if there is no official statement as many don’t have anything to add than what is already on the profile. This section is not tied to transparency or to communication in general. Many very open and talkative ministries with us choose not to post an official statement. This section is just an open ended offering to the profiled ministry for anything extra to say as they may choose.
