There are thousands of young people in Kern County with no future and no hope. Many need guidance and support. Club Zion is about providing assistance to young people, regardless of their economic condition or status in society. BCZ works with middle school, high school and college-aged young people. Their 5000' facility includes a large youth room with pool tables, coffee house, band stage and lots of room for intimate discussions and table games. Some days they may be counseling a family or maybe visiting a teen in juvenile hall. Other days they may take a group to LA or Santa Barbara for a day away. Sometimes, it's great to have a cheeseburger and talk, or maybe hit a bucket of golf balls. Regardless of the situation, Club Zion is a retreat and sanctuary for those that need it.

Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]
Bakersfield Club Zion uses the following to express its Statement of Faith:
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch.com with an official statement or response for their profile. This area is meant as a mechanism for the profiled ministry to communicate anything they may choose. It is open ended as to the topic, issues, facts or news to address. It is not negative if there is no official statement as many don’t have anything to add than what is already on the profile. This section is not tied to transparency or to communication in general. Many very open and talkative ministries with us choose not to post an official statement. This section is just an open ended offering to the profiled ministry for anything extra to say as they may choose.
